About the BCPLA
The BCPLA was formed in March 2007 with a mandate to work with consumers, government and other stakeholders to develop balanced and effective payday loan regulations.
The BCPLA represents small and medium-sized payday lenders. Our membership is comprised of 25 companies with 81 storefronts in BC.
Our members operate in both rural and urban communities. They vary in size and scope of operations, from single store operators to medium-sized lenders with stores in multiple provinces.
The BCPLA supports consumer protection measures that strike a proper balance between consumer needs and a competitive lending environment.
